Perfection in Pink Cherry Tomato Seeds

“Stunningly beautiful” can only be used to describe this tasty and productive cherry tomato. Fruits are blushed with purple anthocyanins, providing a healthy dose of antioxidants. Plus the vines are super vigorous and make crack-resistant fruit all season long.The story of this tomato begins not in a GMO lab but in the Galapagos Islands where wild tomatoes still exist. Seeds of these were collected and maintained in the USDA germplasm repository in Davis, California but it took a creative professor from Oregon State University, Jim Myers, to introduce the purple coloration to edible tomatoes. It took well over a decade of intercrossing plants and selecting the best fruits for the first purple tomato, ‘Indigo Rose’ to be released. The farmers and breeders at Wild Mountain Seeds in Colorado took some of these tomatoes and further bred them to develop the amazing ‘Perfection in Pink’.
