Maldivian Heart x Purple Bhut (C. chinense) Hot Pepper Seeds (20 seeds)

This variety is absolutely stunning as an ornamental plus produces delicious fiery hot fruits good for making hot sauce or salsa. It has purple foliage and mauve flowers and the fruits quickly turn purple before slowly ripening to orange and then bright red. Grows vigorously to 3 ft, heavy yielder unlike some super hot types. Like other Capsicum chinense varieties, it craves heat and warm nights so start seeds indoors 6 weeks before last frost and place outdoors in your warmest spot only after nights do not drop below 60 degrees. This variety is from the collection of Christopher Phillips and still may show some variability, resulting from a recent cross between the two parent varieties, although my plants have showed good uniformity.
