This variety is incredibly early and productive with small vines. Literally a mass of fruit by late July! This variety is an old heirloom from the mountains of Pocahontas County, West Virginia and surrounding counties. Vines are semi-determinate and suitable for containers. Fruits are medium sized slightly flattened globes about 4-8 oz. Flavor is good but not exceptional. Excellent for preserving or fresh eating. Best supported with cages or provide a mulch to keep fruit off the ground. 55-65 days from transplant to fruiting. Seeds produced in Morgantown, WV. Germination 96% 12-3-2023. 30 seeds
