About this item:
The Noni Fruit, known for its various health benefits, is the fruit of an evergreen tree belonging to the same family as coffee. It is originally from Southeast Asia, Australia, and Polynesia but has become naturalized in tropical regions worldwide. The fruit is oval and lumpy, spanning 4 – 6 inches in length, and goes through a color transformation from green to yellow and finally to white as it matures. It can be consumed raw or cooked and utilized in multiple culinary dishes such as salads, curries, and even dried for powders.
The fast-growing Noni tree reaches maturity in just 1.5 years and can produce flowers and fruits every month, yielding between 9 – 18 pounds of fruit per month. The tree features large, glossy dark green leaves that are 6 – 20 inches long and evergreen. It blooms clusters of white flowers and can withstand various growing conditions, including poor soil, coastal environments, and drought. Noni trees prefer warmer temperatures and may struggle when temperatures drop below 55F, and typically will not survive temperatures below 35F. However, they can be cultivated indoors in cooler climates.
