Introduction
Habanero Orange is one of the most iconic hot peppers, celebrated for its intense heat and fruity, citrus-like aroma. These lantern-shaped peppers ripen from green to a vibrant orange, packing powerful spice with a Scoville rating of 150,000–300,000 SHU. Ideal for hot sauces, salsas, and marinades, Habanero Orange delivers bold flavor and fiery kick for true chili lovers.
Seed Sowing Instructions
Start seeds indoors 8–10 weeks before the last frost. Sow 1/4 inch deep in warm, well-draining seed mix (minimum 75–85°F / 24–29°C). Keep consistently moist and provide strong light. Germination may take 14–21 days. Transplant outdoors after danger of frost, spacing plants 18–24 inches apart in full sun.
Plant Care Instructions
Requires full sun and rich, well-drained soil. Water consistently but avoid waterlogging. Mulch to retain soil moisture. Peppers benefit from staking or support as they mature. Harvest when fully orange for peak heat and flavor. Wear gloves when handling ripe pods.
Field/Container Notes
Suitable for garden beds, raised beds, and large containers. Produces abundant fruits through summer in warm climates.
