The Beautyberry shrub is native to the US, Mexico, and some of the Caribbean Islands. It can thrive in both moist and dry locations, which makes it relatively easy to care for. Primarily grown for ornamental purposes, the Beautyberry’s lovely arching branches offer a natural habitat for local wildlife. During fall to winter, its large clusters of berries are particularly favored by various species of birds and squirrels, including cardinals, mockingbirds, finches, woodpeckers, and bobwhites.
