– Description: Honey Butternut is a baby butternut squash described as a “winter squash cultivar bred from butternut and buttercup squash. It has a similar shape and flavor to butternut squash but averages about half the size and is significantly sweeter.” Honeynut squash can be used in various culinary ways such as roasted, sautéed, puréed, or added to soups, stews, and braises. It can even be used in desserts due to its high sugar content. The 4 – 5 inch squash weigh between 8 – 16 oz and serve 1 – 2 people. Its plants are smaller than standard full-size butternuts, making it an excellent choice for smaller spaces or container growing.
– Additional Information: We also offer regular Butternut Squash seeds and a wide variety of other squash seeds.
