Red Streaked Mizuna Mustard is similar to Green Mizuna, but it features jazzy reds and purples. It is hugely popular for salads due to its beautiful coloration. Mizuna Mustard, an heirloom Japanese mustard, has a fun, feathery leaf shape that adds a gourmet touch. The red greens are crisp, mild, and slightly peppery, offering a less spicy flavor compared to other mustards or even arugula. Enjoy Mizuna raw in salads, cooked like spinach in soups and stir-fries, or pickled. This mustard is fast-growing, with baby leaves ready for harvest in just a few weeks. It is a “cut and come again” green, providing a high yield and a long production time. It thrives in various soil conditions and is very heat tolerant. The compact plants with numerous thin stalks are also suitable for container planting. Red Streaked Mizuna Mustard can be planted for spring or fall harvest.
