Other: Purple Wood Mint is native to the US. It features fuzzy stems and dense blooms of flowers 2 – 3 inches long. Attractive to butterflies, bumble bees, and honey bees. More drought tolerant than most other mints and will grow in a variety of soils including clay and gravel. It is less aggressive than many other mints. The plants have an upright habit, and their fragrant foliage is deer and rabbit resistant.
