Miner’s Lettuce can thrive under any light level and even in poor soil, although it prefers moist shaded areas. As annuals, these plants are fast-growing and serve as an excellent groundcover. The foliage of Miner’s Lettuce turns red in the fall. Its young leaves are edible, offering a crunchy, mild, and tender addition to salads. The flavor remains consistent whether the plant is flowering or not.
